Dale Richard Kasselder

Dale Richard Kasselder, 76 of the Broome School community, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Gulfport. Dale was born August 1, 1944 in Havre, MT, the middle of three children to Richard Glenn and Caroline (Heene) Kasselder. Dale grew up Montanna, spending most of his life in and around Columbia Falls. For a good part of his career, he worked for a construction company building dams. In the mid 90s, a friend talked him into moving to South MS to work in the casino industry. Dale found that it wasn't quite for him and started driving a cab. He eventually went to work for Hughes Supply and stayed their until he retired. Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home in St. Martin and Dale found some property in the Broome School community. He is remembered as a caring, kind-hearted man that absolutely loved to fish. Dale kept to himself for the most part, with the occasional trip to town for whatever he needed. Other than that, he could usually be found with a hook in the water. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dale was preceded by his prents, Richard & Caroline Kasselder; his sister Letha, and his son, Kenny Kasselder. He is survived by his wife, Cora Faye; an estranged daughter Christina, and his sister Mae Riley, also of MT, along with many extended family and friends. Dale's final wishes were to be cremated and returned to Montana for interment, which his family is honoring.
