Cindy Lee Burton, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, made the world a little dimmer on March 3, 2021 at River Regions in Vicksburg, MS. Born in Natchez, MS on November 14, 1957, she was the youngest daughter of Dora Ruby Worthey Lee and James T. "Buddy" Lee. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Sue Lee, ex-husband Mike Burton, special friend Melvin Halford and 2 nieces Dora Faye Lee and Janie Day. Survivors include one daughter Tabitha Downey, special friend Joe Pope III and one son, Travis Burton. Five grandchildren - Hunter Downey, Forrest Downey, Jade Downey, Peyton Johnson and Mason Burton. 5 brothers - Jimmy T. Lee, Billy Lee and wife Rosa Lee, Bobby Lee and wife Patricia, Don Lee and wife Dorothy, Donny Lee. 1 sister - Carol Briggs and husband Walter, with 14 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. Cindy also leaves her 5 beloved cats - Tails, Queenie/Baby Girl, Demon, Tiger/Tigger and Boss.
Anyone that new Cindy knew how selfless she was. Always ready to help out someone in need, regardless of her own. Her children were always her first concern, but a very close second were her cats. She always had a way with animals, but especially cats. This is why in lieu of flowers or gifts, we are asking family and friends to make a donation in her memory, to one or any of the feline organizations suggested below. You may also have a tree planted in her memory through Trinity Funeral Services' webpage, if you so desire. Since Cindy did not want a funeral or a memorial, the family plans to have an informal get together at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Burton family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
