Cherell Ann Beesley, age 67, passed away in Biloxi, Misissippi on May 01, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 26, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas to late Donald and Gladys Shannon.
Cherell was raised in McHenry, Mississippi in a big Family the first born of six children. She was brought up to be tough enough to survive in a man's world and always did whatever was needed for her family. She met her husband where they both worked at Hood Industry and later, they went on to International Paper. She formed lifelong friendships with people she met along the way. When her children were old enough, she was able to pursue her dream of being a teacher. Cherell went back to college and earned a degree in special education form Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the University of South Mississippi. She was a very hard worker that had a passion for teaching, writing, and taking care of others. Cherell was very creative, she enjoyed pottery, arts and crafts, quilting, reading, singing, making music, and writing poetry. She was very strong willed and could rise to any challenge and a very talented poet that had some of her writing published, she also recorded some music in her younger years. Cherell was a woman of faith that loved spending time with her family and cooking Sunday dinner for everyone to enjoy. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, she will be missed dearly.
Cherell is preceded by her loving husband, Forest Eugene Beesley; parents, Donald, and Gladys Shannon; son, Michael Joseph Beesley; and one brother, Peter Shannon.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Amanda (Aaron Miller) Leger of Biloxi MS, Andrew (Jennifer Potter) Beesley of Wiggins, MS, Jean "Tootie" Beesley of Biloxi, MS, and Matthew (Susan) Beesley of Gulfport, MS; brother, Paul Shannon; sisters, Ruth (Ray) Moore, Susan (Robert) Parker, and Rebecca (Harold) Ledford; grandchildren, Aiden Miller, Steven Dixson, Caden Everhart, Isabella Beesley, and Tyler Beesley. Also left to cherish her memories are numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Monday May 9, 2022 at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Beesley family in their time of need and asks everyone to remember them in your thoughts and prayers over this difficult time.
