Charles Ray Hubbard, 64 of Saucier, passed away Thursday morning, May 11th, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 29, 1958 in Hamilton, OH, the son Geraldine and Janet Lee (Boggs) Hubbard. Ray, as most everyone knew him, grew up there and enjoyed music, golf, and bowling. He learned to play the guitar and could play just about anything...by ear. He enjoyed the music of Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, and others where the guitar was prominent. Golf and bowling were his two activities and Ray was pretty decent at both. He graduated from Lakota High School with the Class of 1977, and went to work for Legett and Platt where he worked for many years. In 2007, Ray moved to South MS and eventually landed his dream job as a groundskeeper at The Grand Bear golf course. He is remembered the quiet, shy type, with a generous nature. He enjoyed playing his guitar in church, and rarely if ever raised his voice for any reason. Private and reserved, Ray was very talented and could do most anything he set his mind to. He will be forever missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his father, Geraldine Hubbard. Left to cherish his memories are: his daughters, Amber (Darius) Bowling of Hamilton, OH, and Heather Hubbard, along with his mother, Janet Hubbard, both of Liberty Township, OH; and his aunt, Joyce Stewart of Saucier. Ray also leaves numerous extended family members, and lots of friends over the years. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hubbard family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this trying time.
