Calvin Marshall "Joe" Page, 77, passed away September 02, 2023 at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. He was born March 14, 1946 in Gulfport, the sixth of seven children to Harmon Lee and Edna Mae (Cates) Page. Calvin grew up in Gulfport where he liked to fish and listen to music. He picked up the guitar in his early years, taught himself to play it by ear, and spent his life getting better and better at it. He attended Harrison county schools and went to work with his uncle Melvin as an equipment operator. Calvin met Earline and they were married in 1970, making their home in Lizana. He learned the art of well drilling while working with Noren Ladner, and eventually started his own well service company. There's no telling how many of his water wells are still flowing today. Joe is remembered as the sweetest, most loving husband to Earline for more than fifty years. A strong Christian by his faith, Joe enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, both at home, with his friends, and especially at church. He was a faithful member at First Baptist Church in Lizana for many years. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed relaxing at home or spending time with his family and friends. Now if there was any wrestling on tv, he was certain to be watching that. Joe was a wonderful brother, husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, Harmon and Edna Page; his brothers Travis Lee Page, Harmon Lee Page, Jr., Oliver Page, and Pete Page, and his sister, Isabell Page. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of 53 years, Earline (Dedeaux) Page; children: daughters Tammy Graham and Melinda Darnell, both of Texas, and a son Ronnie (Brenda) Ladner of the Dedeaux community; his sister Lela (Hugh) Moore of Gulfport, and his brother Huey Page of Lyman. He leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren, six great-grands, and a host extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 9th at First Baptist Church of Lizana, beginning at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Donnie Parker and Bro. Charles Bonner officiating. Following the service, a reception with the family will be held in the church fellowship hall. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Page family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
