Billy Ray Durr

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Ray Durr, age 64, of Jackson, MS. He was born March 3, 1956 to Elijah, Jr. and Marie (Vaughn) Durr in Laurel, MS. Billy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Durr; brother in law, Thomas Perry and sister in law, Diane Durr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings, Larry (Charlotte), Irene Perry, Helen Smith, James Durr, Kenneth Durr and Carol Magee; special niece, Taylor Perry; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Billy was the oldest of 8 children. He was always energetic and ready for an adventure. He enjoyed dancing and eating! Billy will be remembered for being a hard worker and a family man. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Until we meet again, Fly High, my friend, Fly High! A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
