Betty Dominick Obituary

Betty Ann Dominick, 46, passed away April 13, 2022 at her home in Pass Chrisitan. She was born on December 26, 1975 in Biloxi, the youngest of three and daughter of James Acy and Jane Evelyn (Necaise) Ladner. Betty grew up in Pass Christian where she truly enjoyed the country life. She attended Harrison County schools and obtained her GED. Betty went on to Blue Cliff College and obtained her degree as a medical assistant, making a career of taking care of family members and her home. Betty met Henry when she was just 17, and they began a life-long relationship. They were married and made their home in Pass Christian as well. Betty is remembered as a person with a heart as big as they come. Always the one to help out if she could, it didn't matter what you were dealing with or needed, Betty was there. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson John Swiger, Jr. To Betty though, he was her "Rugrat". In her spare time, Betty loved to fish, and was pretty decent at it from what some would say, while others might argue that point. She loved being outside, riding off on the Harley with Henry, or cutting the grass on their riding mower. While Betty was the outdoors type, she liked to cook and bake as well, but always on her own terms and when she wanted to. When there wasn't anything pressing, she loved to read, listen to music, and of course, aggravate Henry! She will be forever loved and missed by all whose life she touched. Betty was preceded by her parents, James and Jane Ladner, and her father-in-law, Henry Dominick, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband, Henry J. Dominick, Jr.; their only daughter, Harley (John, Sr.) Swiger of Picayune; her sisters, June (Jerry) Ladner of Gulfport, Dorothy (Wayne) Payne of Saucier, and Roxanna Hamilton of Biloxi, with her brother Donnie (Lora) Cuevas of Pass Christian, and her mother-in-law, Louise Dominick. She leaves behind her only grandson, John "Rugrat" Swiger, Jr., along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors over the years. A visitation has been set for Thursday afternoon, April 21st at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. Afterward, the family will honor Betty's final wishes to be cremated. A celebration of her life may be held at a later date.
