Betty Carol (Latham) Odom

Betty Carol Odom, 70, passed away on April 28, 2022, at Diamond Lake RV Park in Perkinston, MS. Betty was born on March 26, 1952 in Gulfport, MS to parents Jewell and Myrtis Staten Latham. Grew up on the coast in the Long Beach area and attended LB schools. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and friends and loved listening to a variety of music. She married at a young age and made her home in Long Beach. For the past few years, Betty has lived at Diamond Lake in Perkinston, where she enjoyed the peace and quiet, gardening, and her four-legged son, Shaky, that she's had for the past fifteen years. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtis Byrd and Jewell Latham; her sister Niama. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Maria Smith of Gulfport, MS, Kenneth (Christina) Page, Chris (Gwendolyn) Page, Dewayne (Brandi) Latham and Jamie Cuevas; sisters, Charlotte Lizan and Sylvia Grice; cousin, Patricia (David) Quigley; grandchildren, Donovan, Pricilla, Amber, Cody, Brianna, Zackery, Nolan, Kaityln, Ashley, Destiny, Madison and Hunter. Also left to cherish her memories are her close friends and neighbors, Sonja, Sharon, and others.
