Arthur Clifton Harrell, 61, of Columbia, MS, passed away September 5, 2021 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia. He was born the second of four children to Walter Clifton (W.C) and Roberta (Street) Harrell in Hattiesburg, MS on January 29, 1960. Arthur grew up in Sumrall, MS, a sweet and beautiful baby boy, who everyone wanted to get their hands on every chance they got! At the Sonic drive-in where he would frequent, a beautiful car-hop caught his eye. Arthur, with his sense of humor, asked for her ID, just to make sure she wasn't "Jail Bait"! He and Annette later got married and grew a life together for some thirty-seven years, raising seven beautiful children. He was a dad when he didn't have to be to David, Kaidence and Karrie, but boy was he amazing!! Karrie will miss her bed time stories and snuggles as Pawpaw always laid with her until she fell fast asleep before leaving the room. And Kaidence will miss her big teddy bear Pawpaw she often snuggled up to, no matter where he was sitting. Arthur was a loving man. He would forgive in any situation and be there to fix whatever it was before you could even finish your sentence. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Arthur had a "tough love", the kind that made his kids stronger and prepared them for whatever life would throw at them. Arthur and Annette had a way of arguing that would make their family roll with laughter, almost as if they just argued to argue! Stuffed bell peppers and beef liver and onions were two of his favorite things to eat, and Annette loved to make them for him. He was a Christian man who loved spending time with his family. He would often be found huddled up in front of the TV watching anything from Horror movies to good ole classic Disney movies, or playing Farm Gardens with Annette! Arthur enjoyed being outside especially tending to his yard! A wonderful man, Arthur will be missed by so many who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Roberta Harrell, and two of his daughters, Hazel-Joe and Amy Harrell. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife Annette (Dixon) Harrell; sons Ryan Harrell of Darbun, MS and David (Angela) Dixon of Columbia; his step-son Jody Taylor of Foxworth; his adopted grand-daughters Kaidence and Karrie Harrell; his sisters Eula Mae (Dewey) Blansett of Foxworth, Lottie Bennett of Sumrall and Alice Greenlee of Foxworth; and his brother Nathan Harrell of Sumrall. Arthur leaves a legacy of six grandchildren and one great-grand, along with numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Harrell family during this difficult time, asking that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
