Angelia Marie Legnon, 60, of Wiggins, MS, entered her eternal rest, August 09, 2022, at Stone County Hospital. Angelia was born in Morgan City, Louisiana, July 25, 1962, to her parents Carl and Kathleen (Cormier) Gagliano. Growing up in Louisiana and later moving to Mississippi, she would have a lifelong love and obsession for nature and horses. On October 25, 1978, Angelia would marry her soul mate and best friend, Gerald Legnon. Together, they would spend the next forty-three years molding a home for their family, finally settling here in south Mississippi. Gerald and Angelia were inseparable and those who knew them, knew they were truly meant to be. So much unconditional love flowed from Angelia’s heart to anyone she met, making her a faithful best friend to all. She was a true confident, always on the other end listening with an open mind and heart, and never one to judge. Growing up a Louisiana girl, Angelia learned how to perfect a good pot of gumbo, to accompany her potato salad, and of course her amazing red beans and rice. Two things that quickly became family favorites and staples at any gathering! Family time was important to Angelia. Many afternoons you could find her snuggled under the gazebo swinging to the sound of conversations about life that created inseparable bonds between she and her children. Later in life she would come to love the sounds of motor bikes pulling up because that meant, grandbabies were here to see her!! She loved seeing those babies and, in her eyes, they could do no wrong. Always making sure they had exactly what their hearts desired at Christmas, Angelia made sure those babies knew their Mimi loved them beyond measure. One thing was for sure, Angelia loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She often enjoyed listening to her bible app and journaling sermon notes, she and her daughter shared weekly. To say her family wasn’t prepared for such a huge part of their life to leave so soon would be an understatement. Angelia’s family will miss her immensely and until they meet again one day, they will hold dear the memories she left them with of her unconditional love and commitment to their lives. Preceding Angelia in death are her parents Carl and Kathleen (Cormier) Gagliano and her one brother, Nick Gagliano. Left to carry on her legacy of gumbo and red beans, her lifetime lover and best friend Gerald Legnon of Wiggins, her five children, Cody, Jeremy (Melissa), Caleb (Shellaina), Kathyleen, and Jaycub Legnon all of Wiggins, her sisters Carla Gagliano of Amelia, LA, Janelle Gagliano and Susan (Tommy) Aucion both of Bayou L’Ourse, LA, and her precious grandbabies Nicholas, Arielle, Jayden, Grayson, Amelya, Joylinn, Everlee, and Noah Legnon. Angelia’s wishes were to be cremated which her family will honor following a private family visitation Friday, August 12, 2022. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Legnon family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
