Akeem Kentrell Washington

Akeem Kentrell Washington, who arrived only Thursday, gained his angelic wings and flew into Jesus' arms Sunday, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Though he was only here for a brief moment in our lives, he will be forever loved and missed beyond measure. He is survived by his mother, Akeyla Regine Cyrus of Columbia and his father, Damarrus L'trell Mikell, also of Columbia; his grandmother Ladonna Washington of Oak Grove; grandfather Corey Cyrus of Hattiesburg; great-grandparents George and Idelle Washington, Jr. of Columbia. He also leaves his godmother Jada Johnson of California, his aunt Charmaine Morris of Columbia, with great-aunts Cheryl Washington of Houston, TX and Taisha Ellzey, also of Columbia. The family will celebrate Akeem's homegoing with a balloon release at 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon, July 24th at Oak Place Apts. in Columbia. The repast will immediately follow for all who wish to attend.
