Mr. Zachary Lowell Gates

Zachary Lowell Gates, 32 of Saucier, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. Zac was born January 4, 1986 in Hattiesburg, the oldest of 3 children to Jeff & Robin Gates. He grew up in the Saucier community, and was an energetic young man that loved the outdoors. He enjoyed baseball, football, and swimming, playing in the Saucier Rec League for Coach Leon Farmer. Zac had a heart for animals, and enjoyed working in the family landscaping business. He graduated from Harrison Central High School and MGCCC, and also attended MSU. In his life, Zac definitely had his share of struggles. He fought them long and hard, the best way he knew how. That battle ended peacefully on January 21, 2018. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Zac is survived by his parents, Jeff & Robin Gates of Perkinston; his brother, Clint (Andrea) Gates of the Magnolia community; and his sister, with whom he shared a special bond, Hannah E. Gates of Saucier; grandparents Henry & Kathryn Gates, and Mary Louise House, all of Saucier; aunts Angel (Durvin) Triplett of Lizana, and Shirley Mulherin of McHenry, and Monkey House of Saucier; uncles David (Cecilia) Gates of Success, and Geneboy (Mary Ann) House of Saucier; and numerous cousins, friends, and extended family. He was preceded by his grandfather, Gene House, his uncle, Frank House, and a great-aunt, Sandra Mason. The family will receive friends for visitation at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the sanctuary of Faithview Baptist Church in Saucier, where he was a member. The funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 PM, with interment to follow at the House Family Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Gates family, and asks that everyone please keep them in your prayers during this most difficult time.
