Yvonne Barks James

Yvonne Barks James, age 87, of Saucier, MS., passed away on June 1, 2024, in Villa Ridge, MO. She was born in White Oak, MO on September 12, 1936, to the late Rueben and Maxine Barks. She was raised in Missouri, but moved to Mississippi with her husband to help with church missions. Yvonne was a kind-hearted woman who loved baking and making crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Yvonne was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly. Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Rueben and Maxine Barks,; one brother and one sister; and by her loving husband Johnnie James. She is survived by her sister Shirley Mallet; one brother James Barks; her children, Rickey (Helen Bailey) James, Rhonda (Joel) Cospelich, Debera (Art) Schrieber, and Darian (Amy) James; her grandchildren R.J. (Ashley) James, Cassandra (Erik Gobel) James, Cameron (Katie) James, Triston James, Joey Cospelich, Damien (Reatta Jones) Graham, Jessilyn James, Conner Bailey, and Ray Aycock Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Damien James, Nate James, Kyleigh (Alex) Nethington, Brionna Taylor, Mark La Chance, Jake James, Kallie James, Cainen James, Charlie Schrieber, Aubrey Schrieber, Saylor James, and John Gobel; and one Great-great-grandchild, Asher Nethington.  Services for Yvonne will be held Monday, June 10, 2024, beginning at 10:30 am for a short visitation before the service at 11 am, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Saucier, MS, interment will directly follow in the church cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the James family and would ask that you keep them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
