Yvonne Louise Lee, 78 of the Logtown community, passed away Monday morning, December 13th at Picayune Health & Rehab Center. She was born at home on March 13, 1943, one of six children to Aaron LeRoy, Sr. and Eula Lee (Wyman) Carver. Growing up in the rural community of Logtown, Yvonne, or Louise as she was known by most, was a South MS country girl. She enjoyed travelling and seeing new places whenever possible. Attending school at Logtown, Louise was active, outgoing, athletic and played on the basketball team. After a game in the 1958-59 season, she happened to meet Robert, a player for the opposing boys team. They courted for a while and decided to get married April 18, 1959. The couple made their home in Logtown for a while, but life had other plans as it often does. They moved to Pearlington for a bit before settling in Grand Bay, AL for the next 26 years before returning home to the Picayune area. Robert was a true entrepreneur and had several business adventures over the years, while Yvonne took care of the house and family. He has built boats, houses, ran a sanitation route or literally whatever it took, to provide for their family, and still allow him time to hunt and fish whenever he wanted. Louise was a skilled domestic engineer now...an excellent cook, master seamstress and dedicated wife and mother. A devout Christian by faith, she attended and served the Lord at Bienville Church for many years, raising her boys in church as well, with one eventually becoming a minister himself. She will without doubt, be fondly remembered and sadly missed until we meet again in glory! Louise was preceded by her parents, Aaron & Eula Carver, Sr., and her three brothers: LeRoy, Jr., Larry and Donnie Carver, her sister Connie Cox, and in 2002, by her loving husband of over 40 years, Robert Anzol Lee. Left to cherish her memories are: her three children: twin boys Jay Lee of Saucier and Rev. Ray (Jean) Lee of Picayune, with Clay (Blinda) Lee, also of Picayune, and her sister Jewel Green of Bay St. Louis. Louise leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous extended family, friends and neighbors down through the years. Funeral services are set for Friday, December 17th at Benville Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Willie Tebo officiating. Afterward, Louise will be laid to rest in the church cemetery, beside her late husband. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lee family in their time of need, asking everyone to remember them in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
