William Portious Warden, Jr., 55, of Wiggins, MS., passed away on December 21, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. William was born on July 22, 1970, in Alabama to his parents, William Portious and Alohma Sue Warden, Sr. William grew up a hard worker and provided for his family as a skilled painter. He enjoyed carpentry, often showing his love through what he would build and give to his family and friends. William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, even when he was picking on them. He was big ol' jolly teddy bear who would give the shirt off his back if it meant helping someone in need. It brought joy to his heart to see someone smile, and if William could bring laughter and joy to their day, then he always had a joke ready to make anyone laugh. William loved animals and was a softy for strays that he would bring home for Sharon to care for. He was fascinated with wolves and always loved hopping in the truck and going for rides with his son-in-law. William never wanted anyone to worry about him or his health. He was as stubborn as a mule, so most didn't even know he was sick. His heart was big and tender and the love it poured into his family and friends was genuine. PaPa loved Nanna, and his family's hearts will forever be saddened by his loss. William is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alohma Warden, Sr.; and three sisters, Jaime Warden, Debbie Warden, and Janet Fore. He is survived by his loving wife, of thirty-three years, Sharon Owens Warden of Wiggins; three children, Shannon (Justin) Fairley, Shanna (Christopher Morgan) Owens, and Tiffany Owens; a legacy of six grandchildren, Nicholas Fairley, Sadie Morgan, Sofia Ferrell, Nathan Fairley, Tia Ferrell, and Leighia Ferrell; two sisters, Laurie Singletary and Sherri Warden; and his four-legged kiddos, Domino and ShaSha. Services for William will be held at a later time provided by his family. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Warden family and we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the days ahead.
