William Ray "Bill" Peterson, 66 of the Kiln, passed away Sunday February 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 5th, 1955 at the family home in Pass Christian, MS, the eleventh of thirteen children to Aven and Ethel (Malley) Peterson. He grew up there and became known as Bill to those who knew him best. A man of all trades, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He married Brenda Cuevas in 1978 and they made their home in the Kiln. Bill loved his wife and family, and will be fondly remembered by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, Aven and Ethel Peterson; his brothers: Maven, Mack, C.J., James, Hayward, and David Peterson, and his grandson, Adam Ray Peterson. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of 43 years Brenda; their two children, son Marlon (Melissa) Peterson, and daughter Stephanie (Ben) Steiner; his sisters, Lois Wells, Ida Lou (Norman) Ferguson, Helen Ladner, and Linda (Kelly) Lynch, and brothers Jessie (Janet) Peterson and Donnie (Wanda Mae) Peterson, with his best friend and hunting partner, Mike (Karen) Simcox. Bill leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Leanna and Brennen Steiner, and twins Makenzie and Makayla Peterson, along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors through the years. Services will be held at the Peterson home at 25206 Albert Cuevas Road, Kiln, MS. The visitation and wake will begin at 3:00 PM Thursday afternoon, and will continue until the funeral service begins Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Bill will be the first interment in the Peterson Family Cemetery on their property. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Peterson family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep Brenda and the entire crew in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. Visitation will be held at his home on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 2 pm and friends at 3pm. Funeral service will begin Friday February 25, 2022 at 1 pm by pastor Oren Spence.
