William Calvin "Bill" Parvin

September 12, 1943 — July 13, 2023

Saucier, MS

W.C. "Bill" Parvin, 79 of Saucier, passed away July 13, 2023 at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, LA. He was born September 12, 1943 in Lumberton, MS, one of fourteen children to Rubin L. and Era (Martin) Parvin. Growing up, Bill was always good working with his hands and had a knack for building things, so it's no wonder that he became an A-1 carpenter. He joined the MS Army National Guard and served honorably, reaching the rank of SP4 before his discharge. He went to work as a carpenter for Rouse's Construction first, eventually opening his own business, Parvin Construction which he ran for many years. There is no telling how many homes and other buildings he built in his career, including several churches. A Christian by his strong faith, Bill always exemplified that in his life. He is remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend to so many. He will be missed beyond measure, until we meet again in glory. Bill was preceded by his parents, Rubin and Era Parvin; his sisters Melvia Oliver, Mary Williams, Esther Dickson, and Betty Legg, with brothers Bud, Dallas, Gary, and Lonnie Parvin. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of more than fifty-two years, Annie, and their son, Verlon (Sandy) Lee of AL.; four sisters: Lea Thrash, Rita Haik, Dee McDermitt, and Donna Byxbe, with one brother, Larry Parvin, along with numerous extended family and friends. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, July 18, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Saucier, with Bro. Mark Warden officiating. Pallbearers were Verlon Lee, Larry Parvin, Pete Wentworth, Randall Turan, David McMurtry, and Michael Rhodes. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Parvin family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
