Westley Andrew Gervais, 82, passed away July 04, 2024, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on August 01, 1941, in New Orleans, LA. Wes was one of several children, and son of Charles Manual and Margaret Elizabeth (Hopkins) Gervais.
Wes, as he was known to most, grew up in the New Orleans area, where he enjoyed life in the metro area of the Big Easy. He attended schools there and eventually became an electrician, spending his career wiring houses and doing electrical work. Wes is remembered as a down-to-earth guy with a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh as much as anyone, and if he could pull a joke on you, he certainly would. He enjoyed fishing and going out to eat with those closest to him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Gervais; and his loving wife Sandra (Donlin) Gervais. He also leaves his close friend and confidant over the years, Jean Bates, also of Gulfport; her son, Doug (Melanie Babbitt) Bates, whom he considered a son; and their daughter, Alexis, whom he loved as a granddaughter; and several other close friends.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Gervais family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
