Wesley Roland Ford, Jr.

Wesley Roland Ford Jr, 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Canton, MS on March 16, 2024. He was born in Gulfport, MS on January 22, 1956, to the late Wesley Roland Ford Sr. and Eldora Mae Malley Morrison. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Rickey Ford and Ervin Cuevas and a sister Penny Peterson. Mr. Ford was a native of Gulfport, MS and moved to Canton, MS some years ago to be near his grandchildren, who he adored. Roland, as he liked to be called, was a retired salesman where he spent most of his life in the lumber sales business having worked for Cash & Carry and Lowes. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and a faithful member of Sanctuary Pentecostal Church in Canton. Left to cherish his memory is his children, Wesley (Susan) Ford, Deidra (Chad) Estes of Canton, MS, Lisa (Bobby) Moran of Kiln, MS and April Ford of Gulfport, Ms. His grandchildren Cole Estes and Callie Estes of Canton, Ms. His siblings, Ronnie (Shelia) Ford of Saucier, MS, Roger (Sandra) Ford and Robert (Kristy) Ford of Kiln, MS and Ms. Louise Beasley of Gulfport, Ms. Roland also had numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank Arden Hospice and a special thank you to nurse Summer Smith for helping the family navigate these hard times. Visitation for Mr. Ford will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sanctuary Pentecostal Church, 3734 N. Liberty Street, Canton, MS. Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Orange Grove, 11317 Old Highway 49, Gulfport, MS, with services starting at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Ford will be laid to rest at Alphonse Malley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland’s memory to Sanctuary Pentecostal Church, Canton, MS.
