Weng Tsu Abel

Weng Tsu (Sue) Abel, 85, of Wiggins, MS, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Wiggins.  She was born on May 7, 1941, in Tai Pei, Taiwan, where she lived until she was twenty years old.   Growing up in Taiwan, Weng wasn't afforded the luxuries of grade school and learning to read and write.  But she never let that stop her from working hard and earning everything she had.  Weng spoke five different languages, was highly intelligent, and always held a job where she was adored and appreciated.  People were drawn to her and would often come to where she worked, only to see her.  She was affectionately known by all who knew and loved her as Mama Tsu, a name she took much pride in earning.  Weng loved her family and truly enjoyed her time spent living in South Mississippi with them.  Despite her dislike for water, Weng would give in from time to time and try canoeing or swimming.  Immediately remembering why she hated water so much, but the belly laughs and memories made were always worth it.  Weng adored her grandchildren and made sure they loved rice as much as she did!  Weng truly loved life and lived every day to the fullest.  Despite set backs, her family never failed to keep a smile on her face.  She will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her.  Weng is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Day McMaster; one son-in-law Robert Swallow; and one daughter-in-law, Valerie Brown McMaster. Weng is survived by her four children, Carol Swallow, Art McMaster, Henry McMaster, and Edward Odom.  She leaves a legacy of six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve Mama Tsu's family during this time and we ask that you keep them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days ahead.
