Obituary

Vita Jane Washington, 55, passed away peacefully in Mississippi on September 16, 2026. Born on September 3, 1971, in Mississippi, Vita will be remembered as a loving and devoted presence whose life was centered on family, kindness, and the simple joys that brought people together.

Vita was known for her friendly spirit and for the warmth she shared so naturally with others. She loved swimming and loved the beach, finding happiness in time spent near the water. She also loved her dogs and enjoyed expressing her creativity as a cake decorator. In her free time, she was most often with her husband or her grandkids, the people who meant so much to her heart. She was also a proud Florida Gator fan, a detail that added to the bright and lively personality so many knew and loved.

To those closest to her, Vita was the best wife, daughter, mother, and, above all, “the best Nanny.” Her love for her family was steady and unmistakable, and the care she gave will remain a lasting gift in their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Andre Washington; her daughters, Angel Antoine and Alicia (Brad) Bradford; her sons, Brittian (Karleigh) Head and Isaiah Washington; and her beloved grandchildren, Kevin, Kamdyn, Keygan, Kyngsten, Keelan, Caiden, Graysen, Brayden, Jaylinn, Haven, Nolan, and Asher. She is also survived by her bonus grandchildren, Kaiden, Trent, Ava, and Raihean who were part of the circle of love she held close. Vita also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Lisa Brooks; her sisters-in-law, Jackie Guy and Shikira Brooks; and her friend, Patricia Francis. Each of them shared in the love, companionship, and memories that made Vita’s life so meaningful.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Finch, and her brother, Lorenzo Finch.

Vita Jane Washington will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to those she loved, and the joy she found in being surrounded by family. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and in the love that continues through all who knew her.

Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Washington family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
