Virginia Anne Edelman

Virginia Anne “Ginger” Edelman passed away March 6, 2022 in her home, at the age of 57. Ginger has devoted her whole life to her children, she wasn’t just a mother to her own children but to many others. One of her greatest accomplishments in her lifetime were her children. Summer Lesha Edelman, her one and only daughter, was also her best friend. They didn’t even go one day without talking and always taking silly photos together laughing. Her oldest son, Willie Derek Berry, is like her twin! Like his mom, Derek has such a big heart, and share the same compassion towards others. She was also blessed with her twin boys, Jesse Joseph Berry and Cody Anthony Berry. Jesse has her understanding on life. He also has her selflessness; he will give you the shirt off his back, like his momma would. Cody has her funny, silly personality; always shares all the good his momma taught him through the years. All her babies have a part of her that will live on through them. She also leaves behind many grand babies, that she cherished dearly. Ginger always had a story to share and a warm hug to give! Nobody could ever take her place; she was one of a kind! She would always tell bubba, “We must trust and believe that everything will turn out for the best. We will continue to believe that because that is all we have. Remember when I would tell y’all I didn’t know how I was going to pay the light bills and it just happened, that’s how it works.” Ginger once told me, “Carolyn, you must have fallen for the craziest family ever but for me to know that there is more good than bad, it might not seem that way, but that one day I was going to look back and know that.” The truth is I do I see ginger in every one of her kids! Left to cherish her memories are her three sons, Willie Derek (Carolyn) Berry, Jesse Joseph Berry, and Cody Anthony Berry; one daughter, Summer Lesha Edelman; nine grand babies, Stone Forrest Edelman, Eli Aiden Edelman, Logan Hunter Edelman, Luvelia Theoria Edelman, Michael Joseph Bice, Hayden Joseph Berry, Brenden James Berry, Christian Isaiah Berry, and Zerenity lynn Berry; one sister, Donna Edelman; and one brother, Louis Edelman; her nieces and nephews, Nikol Edelman, Jonathon Mazeress, Desmond Edelman, Justin Edelman, and Christopher Edelman; her partner, Danny Bond; and the father of her children Steve Berry. Ginger is preceded by her parents, Laverne and Luvelia Brogdan; sister, Belinda Moran; and her grandson, Derek Gabriel Anthony, Berry who now has his Mammie to walk beside him.
