Vince Stewart Alford

Vince Stewart Alford, age 64, died on Monday May 3, 2021 in McHenry, MS. Vince is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Amanda Alford of Biloxi, MS and Leah Alford of Biloxi, MS. His two sisters, Karen Broussard of D’Iberville, MS and Patricia Mauer (Chuck Mauer) of McHenry, MS. Two brothers, Garland (Butch) Alford, Jr. of McHenry, MS, and Charles (Chick) Alford (Kathy Penn Alford) of Ocean Springs, MS. Vince also has several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Garland Samuel Alford, Sr, and Doris Jeanette (Amerson) Alford both from Biloxi, MS. Vince was born on August 23, 1956 in Biloxi, MS. He graduated from Biloxi High School in1974.  He worked several years in the oil industry on supply boats. Regardless of whether he was a cook, deckhand, or Captain he enjoyed his job and the crew he worked with. He really enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers. He could sit for hours enjoying music and a campfire. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun-loving man who was the life of the party. The family will hold a private memorial out in the Gulf of Mexico, to celebrate his life. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Ochsner’s and St. Joseph Hospice. And a special thanks to his roommate and friend Frank Murphy who helped care for Vince during his illness.
