With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vicky Watson Tapp, who left this world on July 8, 2025, at the age of 67. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Vicky was a remarkable woman—equal parts sweet and stubborn, kind-hearted and quick- witted. She had a sharp tongue when you needed to hear the truth and a warm embrace when you needed comfort. A proud Christian, her faith shaped her life and guided her every step. She was a family woman through and through, raising her children with strong values, deep love, and just the right amount of sarcasm to keep things real. She was a woman of many talents—an artist, a builder, and a problem-solver who never backed down from a challenge. From painting beautiful pictures to building her own home, Vicky was fearless in the face of obstacles. Her creativity and determination were unmatched. Though the world was not ready to lose her, Heaven surely gained a treasure. Proceeded in death by her parents, Fred and Marva Watson, Beverly Watson, her brother Jeff Watson. Vicky is survived by her loving brother, Duane Watson, and sister, Gail Below, Georgia Trembley; her devoted children, Derrick (Sarah), James Jr., (Kelly), and seven cherished grandchildren who brought light to her life. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Sissy and Peanut, and a heartwarming number of “adopted” children and family members she welcomed into her life along the way. Vicky taught her sons to be respectful, kind, and well mannered—and that kind of influence is priceless. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was, without a doubt, one of a kind. We will miss her laugh, her love, and her strength. But we find peace in knowing she is at rest, her spirit soaring free—paintbrush in one hand, hammer in the other, and a smile that will never fade from our memories.
