Travis Olyn Taylor, III

Travis Olyn Taylor III, lovingly known as “Trey,” passed away at the age of 50 on September 15,2026 after a courageous battle with stage four glioblastoma brain cancer.
Born on December 27, 1976, Trey lived a life defined by hard work, humor, and a deep love for the people around him. He built a career in HVAC, where he not only earned respect for his skill and dedication, but also formed lasting friendships with coworkers.
Trey had a passion for life that showed in everything he did. He loved to travel and felt most at home outdoors—whether he was fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature. He brought laughter wherever he went, known for his quick wit, stubborn spirit, and unwavering work ethic.
He was a devoted son to his mother, Donna Patterson, and his father, Travis Taylor, Jr. Trey was a proud and loving father to Alivia Taylor, Cale Taylor, Emma Broom, Rebekah Taylor, Makayla Taylor.
He is survived by his mother Donna (Harry) Freeman-Patterson, stepmother Celie Taylor, Children; Alivia Taylor, Cale (Teia)Taylor, Emma Broome, Rebekah Taylor, Makayla Taylor, sisters, April Taylor, Stefanie Taylor, and Robbie (Eric) Boswell, and his brother, Lee (Lori) Patterson, along with many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Taylor Jr., grandparents, Annie and Chris Powell, his grandfather Hubert Freeman, and his grandchild from Cale and Teia, who was lost too soon.
A man of Christian faith, Trey found strength and comfort in God throughout his life. His family holds close the promise of scripture:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Trey will be remembered for his resilience, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.
