God called one of his soldiers home on January 10, 2025. Tim, lovingly known as “Bone,” passed away in the arms of his Angel, Ann Marie DeMarco with his family by his side at their home in St. Bernard. Bone loved playing rock oldies on his guitar, playing wheel of fortune in the early morning hours, watching westerns with his furbabies, Duke, Daisy, Bammey, and Pepper. If you asked Bone he would tell you he is truly blessed. He was diagnosed in November of 2024 with brain and lung cancer. Bone remained positive and fought it for as long as he could. He made a family friend promise him on the phone daily that when his time came, she would take care of “our girl.” Though he only worked at Sudden Impact automotive for 15 years, his expertise in bodywork and painting far surpassed that, leaving him a master in his trade. Tim is preceded by his parents, Lonnie and Wanda Preston; his brother, Richard Wayne Preston. Left to cherish his memories is his “Angel” Ann Marie DeMarco; his “framily,” Allen Stone, Theresa Giancaspio, Loni Thamert; two sons, Timothy “TJ” Preston, Jr and Christopher Preston; bonus daughter, Samantha Keaton; sister, Anna (Randy), along with several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made directly to Trinity Funeral Services to help offset the cost of services.
