Timothy Darlon Seals

November 2, 1961 — August 10, 2021

Steep Hollow, MS

Timothy Darlon Seals, 59 and life-long resident of Steep Hollow, passed away Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. He was born November 2, 1962 in Poplarville, the oldest of three and only son to Charles Ray and Rita Ann (Ladner) Seals. Tim grew up in Steep Hollow and spent his life there. Hunting, fishing and football were his pastimes growing up, and he loved all three. Tim was a Poplarville Hornet for a while, but opted to go to work as a carpenter's helper before graduating. He met Becky and they tried to elope to Bogalusa, but didn't have everything they needed with them. So they had to wait and were finally married, at the totem pole in Franklinton, LA. Tim obtained his GED and went to work at the Pearl River County Correctional Facility for several years. He had always welded here and there over the years and finally decided to make that his primary career, which he has done for the past forty years or so. Tim always said he would be a welder for the rest of his life...and he was. He is remembered as a loving but "pain-in-the-butt" family man that was truly "as good as gold". Tim loved his hunting, fishing and field trials for his Walkers and Beagles, running coyotes and rabbits. He was a Christian by faith and member of Community Baptist Church for many years. No matter what he was doing, Tim loved his family above all else. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, Charles Ray and Rita Seals. Left to cherish the many fond memories are: his loving wife of 41 years, Becky, and their only son, Scott (Brandy) Seals, all of Steep Hollow; his two sisters: Hannah Ladner and Charnis (Bradley) Ladner, both of Poplarville; sisters and brothers in-law: Stacey (Janice) Ladner, MaeLisa Cuevas, Rodney (Tracy) Moran, Mark (Daphne) Bolton and Teresa (Bill) Haden. He leaves a legacy of a couple of grandchildren who were the world to him, Ryleigh Seals (Cody Entrekin) and Dalena Seals, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of welds he has made over the years. Services have been set for Friday, August 13, 2021 at Community Baptist Church where Tim was a member. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Bill Cameron and Bro. Sam Freeman officiating. Afterward he will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Seals family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your prayers through this difficult time.
