Timothy Wayne Reed

July 24, 1949 — May 17, 2020

Wiggins, MS

Timothy Wayne Reed, 69 of Wiggins, passed away Sunday afternoon at his home. He was born July 24, 1949 in Sapulpa, OK, the third of eight children to Billy Gene & Dorothy Isabelle (Wagoner) Reed. Tim spent most of his younger years in Terrytown, LA, but had some in Illinois as his father travelled around working in the bakery business. He loved football and games of chance growing up. After high school, he did some other work before following in his father's path into the bakery. Tim also moved around some, while working in bakeries for many years as a production supervisor. Among his favorite hobbies were the casinos and horseracing, but Tim was a die-hard New Orleans Saints football fan. He was one that liked to puzzle you, trying to make you figure out what he was saying by starting mid-sentence. He was always right, even when others disagreed and if he liked a movie, you would just have to get ready to see it over and over and over again. In spite of his quirks, Tim possessed a big heart. He was always willing and eager to help. A loving husband that enjoyed spoiling his wife, he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents and his brother, Billy Reed. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of 42 years, Kim; two sons, Mark Brewer of Wiggins and Greg (Andrea) Owens of Booneville; his siblings: Danny (Jean) Reed of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Troy (Judy) Reed of Hamilton, AL, Theresa (Mike) Guidry of Johnsonville, TN, Debbie (Johnny) Trebotich of Terrytown, LA, Brenda Portera of Albany, GA and Becky (Tony) Sciacca of Harvey, LA, along with three grandchildren, six great-grands, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Tim's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Reed family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them lifted up in your prayers during this trying time.
