Thomas Steve Taylor, Sr., 69 of Vancleave, passed away August 8th. He was born August 23, 1950 in New Mexico, the son of David & Lorene (Oldacker) Taylor. Known to most as Tom, he grew up between New Mexico and Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing poker in his spare time. Tom married the love of his life, Sandra Stallings, November 28, 1969 and they spent the next 50 years together. In his life, he has worked in construction as a brick mason and a contractor, he has done some cooking and owned his own fishing resort where he served as a guide. Tom will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents David & Lorene Taylor, and his brothers Butch and David Taylor. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Sandra, with their children Tom Jr., Ginger Martinez and Jeff Taylor, all of Vancleave; his daughter Lori (Chad) Holbein) of Woodland, WA and son Chris (Jaclyn) Taylor of Salem, OR. Tom leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, eight great-grands, and a host of extended family, friends and fishing partners over the years. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Taylor family in their time of need. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
