Mr. Thomas Wayne Adams Sr

January 15, 1940 — April 1, 2018

Mr. Thomas Wayne Adams, Sr, 78 of Saucier, passed away Sunday evening, April 1, 2018 in Gulfport. Tommy was born January 15, 1940 in Alexandria, LA, the 2nd of 4 children to John W. "Bill" & Bessie L. Adams, Sr. He grew up in Jefferson parish, and was an outgoing, athletic young man. Tommy is known as "Brother" to those closest to him, and he and his brothers, "Dub" and "Tincy", and sister Patsy, spent a great deal of their childhood years playing at the Jefferson playground and park. His favorites were baseball and basketball. Tommy attended East Jefferson High School where he played both, and was a member of the Class of 1958. After graduating, Tommy attended the University of Arkansas Little Rock, where he obtained a Bachelors in accounting. While there, he was an active member of the Sigma Nu fraternity, serving as a local officer for the organization. After graduation, Tommy joined the Arkansas Army National Guard, where he served honorably, achieving the rank of 2nd Lt. His early career was spent in the Little Rock area until returning to New Orleans, where he remained until retiring. He shared the past twenty plus years of life with his soul-mate, Claudia Ciaccio, and they retired to the Saucier area. He is remembered as the more conservative of his siblings, a man who was very personable, meticulous with his attire, that had an "accountants" sense of humor. He enjoyed golf and family gatherings, and will be very sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Bill and Bessie Adams, and by his oldest brother, John "Dub" Adams, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are his life partner, Claudia Ciaccio; children Thomas W. Adams, Jr, Ricky Adams, and Marcus (Tara) Adams, all of New Orleans; a step-daughter he raised as his own, Dayna Pico of Saucier; one brother, Robert C. "Bob" Adams of IN, and a sister, Patsy (Jerry) Godfrey of TX; four grandchildren, Eva Adams, Steve Jr, Lydia, and Adrian Pico; and a special son-in-law, Steven Pico, Sr., along with several nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Tommy's wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, and they will hold a celebration of life for him at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Adams family, and asks that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
