Terri Laquitta Pritchett, known fondly by family and friends as Terri, departed this world peacefully on July 16, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on July 27, 1968, in Biloxi, Terri’s life was a vibrant tapestry of love, resilience, and joy.

Terri faced life with a spirit that was unbreakable, even when confronted with her greatest challenge—a courageous battle against cancer. Through every moment, Terri exemplified an unwavering strength and remarkable resilience, holding fast to hope and surrounding those she loved with comfort and laughter. She endured as long as she could, showing grace and fortitude until she found peace—free, at last, from pain and suffering. Those who knew her take solace in the thought that she now watches over them, guiding and protecting from above.

Family was always at the heart of Terri’s life. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Kenneth Pritchett, whose steadfast love throughout their shared journey. The pride of Terri’s life was her children: her daughters Jonika Holden-Walton and Latunya Lombay, and her sons Anthony Walton, Clifford Walton, and David Moore. Each carries forward her indomitable spirit and warmth.

Nothing brought Terri more joy than her grandchildren. Alanah Watts, Aleah McSwain, Micah Walton, Trinity Freeman, Ce'Jai Walton, and Ann Walton were the lights of her world, and her face would light up whenever she spoke of them. In every hug, every holiday, and every simple day spent playing cards or sharing a meal, they brought her boundless happiness.

Terri’s loving family extends to her siblings: Dorthy Bullock, Niecey Funchess, Greg Moore, Beau Broughton, and Annette McSwain—each of whom shared special memories and laughter with her over the years. She also leaves behind a host of Neices and Nephews, Great Neices and Nephews, Great Great Neices and Nephews, -God children Jerricka "Lee" Chatman, Zy'onnia Pritchett— a host of family and friends each enriched by her loyal friendship and welcoming spirit.

While Terri’s earthly family grieves her absence, she is now reunited with her dearly missed parents, Audrey and Johnny McSwain, whose influence and love helped shape the remarkable woman she became.

Terri’s life was filled with colorful milestones. She took pride in earning her high school diploma and embarked on further studies, taking electrician and interior design classes at Gulf Coast Community College. These endeavors reflected her resourceful and creative mind. Professionally, Terri was an accomplished cook and entrepreneur, admired for her skill in the kitchen and her drive to build something meaningful. Her culinary talents became legendary within the family, where her cooking brought everyone together.

Those who spent time with Terri knew her as funny, outgoing, outspoken, and an unwaveringly dependable presence. She was the life of any room, making others feel special, included, and truly seen. Her friendships endured life’s ups and downs—proof of her commitment to kindness and loyalty.

When not working or with family, Terri was always busy—fixing things, building things, shopping for treasures, delighting in football as a true Steelers fan, playing cards, socializing with friends, and, above all, cherishing each moment with her grandkids. Her proudest accomplishments remain treasures to those she leaves behind: winning the jackpot at the Imperial Palace casino brought her thrill and amusement, calling the police to take her home, her marriage filled her heart with love, and her grandchildren brought her hope and fulfillment.

Terri’s presence was a bright flame that warmed and illuminated the lives she touched. To her family, friends, and the extended community, she leaves a legacy of laughter, strength, and love—the kind that cannot be dimmed by time or distance.

Funeral services will be held to honor and celebrate Terri Laquitta Pritchett’s beautiful life. Information about these services will be announced for all who wish to gather, remember, and bid farewell to a woman who meant so very much, to so very many.

Though Terri’s physical presence has left, her spirit remains, echoing in every cherished memory, in every story told, and in every heart she touched. May she rest in peace, cradled by love, her legacy ever enduring.
