Obituary

Taylor Alysse Dickey, 30, of Biloxi, Mississippi, entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 24, 2025, in Louisiana. Though her time on earth ended far too soon, we rejoice in knowing she is now safely home with Him, and we hold fast to the promise that we will see her again in Heaven.

Taylor left this world doing what she cherished most—flying and teaching. Her passion for aviation and her heart for helping others were unmatched. Whether she was guiding a student pilot or encouraging a friend to take a leap of faith, Taylor poured her whole self into elevating those around her. Her legacy will continue to soar in the lives of her family, friends, students, and the aviation community she loved so deeply.

Born on May 1, 1995, at RAF Lakenheath, England, to Randall Keith and Peggy Sue (Marchese) Dickey, Taylor brought joy and adventure into the world from the very beginning. She captivated the hearts of many with her vibrant spirit—one as boundless as the skies she navigated with such grace.

Taylor graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in North Carolina with the class of 2013 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from East Carolina University in 2017. Her education and her natural ability to connect with people reflected her desire to make the world brighter for others.

A trailblazer in aviation, Taylor served as one of the founding members and president of the Bayou Beacons Chapter of Women in Aviation International and was a proud member of the NOLA 99s, The Ninety-Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots. She was deeply committed to supporting and empowering women in aviation, championing opportunities for others with the same passion she carried.

In 2024, Taylor proudly completed her full flight training—a tremendous accomplishment that reflected her determination and love for aviation. That year, she earned her commercial pilot license, which included her instrument rating, followed by her multi-engine rating. She went on to obtain her Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) credentials. Most recently, she and her dad celebrated a shared milestone by completing aerobatics training together—an experience they both treasured.

During her time with Apollo Aviation, Taylor delighted in sharing her expertise and passion with her students. She had a gift for instilling confidence and sparking inspiration. Her adventurous nature and contagious enthusiasm encouraged countless people to step into new possibilities—whether that meant taking to the skies or simply joining her at Mosaic Church, where she often invited friends to experience the hope and joy she found in her faith.

Taylor’s relationship with Jesus shaped the way she cared for people. She was the first to cheer someone on, offer encouragement, or simply be present when someone needed a friend. She lived her faith in the way she loved, welcomed, and supported others, always wanting people to know the same comfort and peace she found in Him.

Among her many passions, Taylor loved spending time at the beach with her beloved four-legged sister, Daisy Doodle. She found great joy in traveling, exploring new places, and embracing the world with gratitude and wonder. Her journey as a pilot showcased her courage, determination, and the joy she found in pursuing her dreams.

As we celebrate Taylor’s life, we honor the profound impact she made on every life she touched. A pioneer, a mentor, a friend, and a light—her memory will continue to soar in the skies she loved and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Taylor is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas M. and Annita G. Marchese; her paternal grandfather, Charles H. Dickey; and her aunt, Beth Gray.

She is survived by her loving parents, Randall and Peggy Dickey; her brother, Cpt. Connor W. Dickey and his wife, Bailey; her cherished grandmother, Janet E. Dickey; and her faithful companion, Daisy Doodle. She also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends who adored her radiant spirit.

Though we will miss her dearly, we rest in the blessed assurance that Taylor’s spirit now soars with her Savior, and that one day, we will be reunited with her again.
