Tammy Joe (Harvey) Smith

Tammy Joe (Harvey) Smith, 64, of Perkinston passed away March 31, 2025. Born on October 16, 1960 to the late Robert and Alice Glinda Harvey in Prentiss, MS. Tammy loved to cook and was known especially for her delicious crawfish etouffee, a recipe she lovingly taught her daughters. Her hands were often busy tending to her garden, where she grew an abundance of fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed spending her days with Paris, her sweet little chihuahua terrier mix. Board games and cards were always a go-to with her daughters, playing Sorry or Uno all night.  A true coffee aficionado, she often proclaimed that a pot per day was the secret to a good life, though she’d occasionally trade her coffee cup for a cold glass of milk. Her grandchildren and her great grandbaby knew her as "Mimi," and they loved her dearly. A simple, peaceful soul, Tammy embraced life’s serene moments. Her family will deeply miss the comfort of porch sittin' beside her, sharing stories over a smoke and coffee, watching the day pass by as they enjoy the little moments. Tammy is preceded by her parents, Robert and Alice Glinda (Stamps) Harvey; brother, Robert Joe "Little Joe" Harvey II; and one grandbaby, Sophia Alicé Parker. Left to cherish her memories are her four daughters, Jessica Cobb, Alison Parker, Abigail Roper, Samantha Smith; sister, Tanya (Harvey) Gros; seven grandbabies, Sydney Dwyer, Zoey Cobb, Rosalie Cobb, Skylynn Parker, Savannah Parker, Tony "TJ" Parker Jr., Spencer Nicholas; along with one great grandbaby, Ophelia Alicé Jackson.  A memorial Service will be held at Trinity Funeral Services Friday, April 4, 2025, from 2PM-4PM. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the family of Ms. Tammy Joe and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers for the coming days.
