Sylvia (Pittman) Spiers

Sylvia Spiers, age 85, of Carriere went to her heavenly home on March 4th. She was born to George and Lucille Pittman in Monticello, MS on May 14, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 yrs., Oakley (Buddy Boy) Spiers; her sister, Sybil Pittman and granddaughter, Angela Pierce. Sylvia leaves to cherish her memory her son, Wiley “Rocky” Spiers; her daughter, Serita Spiers; her brother, George Glen Pittman; her grandchildren, Andy Spiers, Jacob Spiers, Blake Spiers, Rocky Spiers, Mike O’Shaughnessy, Amy Berghman, Josh Gill, Drew Gill; 12 great grandchildren along with numerous extended family and friends. A native of Picayune, MS, Sylvia was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and aunt who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 7th at McNeil Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Flurry officiating.
