Ms. Sydney Brooke Mcelrone

Ms. Sydney Brooke McElrone, 25 of Bogalusa, LA, passed away January 28th in Wiggins. Sydney was born May 11, 1993 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Joseph David and Dawn Christine (Ammel) McElrone. She was a free-spirited and independent young lady from the start. Syd grew up on the family farm in Holmen, with the customary variety of goats, sheep, horses, and chickens. But there was some exotic flair as well, with llamas and zebras there too. She was a very outgoing and hilarious girl that was always sporting her radiant smile. Her sense of humor caused those who knew her best, to refer to her as "a hoot". Syd frequented the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru, on her way to Planet Fitness on a daily basis. She loved kids and mothers, and is remembered as a kind, compassionate person that lived a lot of life in her short 25 years. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. Left to cherish her memories are: her parents, father Joseph David McElrone, and her mother and step-father, Dawn (Shawn) O'Keefe of Eau Claire, WI; her older brother, Samuel Austin McElrone of Chippewa Falls, and her sister, Shannon Casey Fritzler of Eau Claire; her aunt, Dana Mollway of Castleberry, FL; her grandparents, Frank & Jan Ammel of Elkton, FL; her firend, Cody Blackwell of Bogalusa, LA, along with numerous other extended family and friends. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the family in their time of need. A memorial service has been set for Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at Crossroads Church in Chippewah Falls, WI. All who knew and loved Syd are encouraged to attend. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers over these trying days.
