Steven Robert Wohlscheid

Steven Robert Wohlscheid, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, lost his battle with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma on July 21, 2023, in Laurel, Mississippi. Born on January 15, 1965, in Lansing, Michigan, Steven was a man of wisdom, spirit, and humor, who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Steven was a man of many interests and talents. His infectious laugh and big, goofy smile were his trademarks, instantly lighting up any room he entered. A history buff, Steven was known for his vast knowledge and his ability to answer almost any question related to the subject. His love for old- time rock, especially the Beatles, was well-known among his friends and family. He had an uncanny ability to remember all the lyrics and would often be found humming along to his favorite tunes. Steven lived life on his own terms, he was happy and carefree. He was a jokester, much like his father, and a storyteller, a trait he inherited from his mother. His late-night calls, random family history trivia, and goofy sayings will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Steven's wisdom, wit, and unique sense of humor were the qualities that made him truly unforgettable. In remembering Steven, he was a man who embraced the world with open arms and a wide smile. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to a life filled with laughter, and an unwavering zest for life. Steven Robert Wohlscheid will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Iola Clemens and Robert Wohlscheid; his brother, Kevin Wohlscheid; sister-in-law, Debra Wohlscheid; and his infant daughter, Mackenzie Wohlscheid. He is survived by his six children, Jared, Samantha, Stephanie, First Class Airman Dylan, Matthias, and Madelyn, and his three grandchildren, Avery, Ashton, and Anavey. He is also survived by his brother, AJ (Wanda) Urie; sisters, Rebecca (Randy) Hutchinson, Michelle (David) Barkley; and youngest brother, Erick (Delwin) Wohlscheid, also his very special friend Erin Ranville.
