Steven Curtis Henson

Steven Curtis Henson, 67, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away at his home on Friday, August 5, 2022. Steve was born on March 27, 1955 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi to Jesse C. and Marian M. Henson. He was raised by his mother, Marian, and step-father, Roy Daniels. He married Mary Lou (Sturgis) Henson on December 2, 2005 in Danville, IL. Steve was a paratrooper in the US Army and after his service he spent several years traveling and just experiencing life. He settled in Danville, IL where he was a medical supply tech at the Illiana VA Healthcare System for 17 years. He retired from there in 2019 and in his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his “fur-babies”, his family, and he especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Sturgis) Henson, 2 sisters: Vicki Norris and Dee Daniels, both of Lincoln, IL and 1 brother, Curt (Ginet) Henson of Las Vegas NV. 2 children: Amanda (Keldon) Salyer of Hymera, IN and Ryan Sturgis of Terre Haute, IN. 11 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, 2 brothers-in-law, and his 3 beloved pets. At Steve’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Henson family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
