Stephen Clyde
Shiffer
Oct 23, 1943 — Oct 17, 2026
Perkinston, MS
Stephen Clyde Shiffer, a cherished soul of Perkinston, embraced eternal rest on October 17, 2026, at age 82, enveloped by the love of his family. Born on October 23, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clyde Albert and Juanita (Oler) Shiffer, Stephen's life was a testament to unwavering integrity and boundless kindness.
On December 4, 1965, Stephen united in marriage with his deepest love, a partnership that brought forth four sons, two daughters, 22 grandchildren, and blessed him with 18 great-grandchildren.
Known affectionately as Steve, he served with honor in the United States Air Force and the National Guard as a Radio Engineer, later he worked at EG&G Idaho where he helped invent systems to prevent nuclear meltdowns. Technical expertise was not enough for Steve's community spirit so he first volunteered to Rigby, Idaho Police and later pursued a career in law enforcement.
A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he assumed numerous leadership and teaching roles, offering mentorship to youth and scout organizations.
Steve’s legacy is one of truthfulness and a generous spirit, etched into the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a symphony of service, laughter, and love; forever cherished by those who knew him.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Shiffer family during this time, and we ask that you remember Ms. Karen and their family in your thoughts and prayers over the difficult days ahead.
