Ms. Stephanie Slayton Whitfield

Stephanie Nickole Slayton Whitfield, 43, of Meridian, passed away on January 18, 2019. She was born June 22, 1975, the 2nd of 3 children to the late Billy and Windy Slayton. Stephanie grew up in the Meridian area before moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School in 1994. She went on to earn her Associates Degree in Marketing at Meridian Community College in August of 1999. After moving to Gulfport, MS, she also earned a Bachelors Degree, majoring in Business Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005. Stephanie was a brilliant young woman with a passion for learning and teaching. Stephanie leaves behind her two children, Trevor Alan Whitfield and Peyton Bradley Whitfield of Perkinston, MS. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. A service will be held at Trinity Funeral Services in the chapel at 4 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019 with visitation to follow until 6 pm.
