Stephanie Rebecca Samrow

January 8, 1953 — September 27, 2020

Picayune, MS

Stephanie Rebecca Samrow, 67 of Picayune, passed away at her home Sunday evening, September 27. She was born January 8, 1953 in New Orleans, the daughter and youngest of three children to Steven Joseph and Eugenia (Konstantapolis) Samrow. Growing up in Harahan, LA, Stephanie loved animals from an early age. She liked riding horses and working with animals of any kind. After high school, she obtained her commercial drivers license, driving over the road for several years. Later in life, she also worked as a nurses assistant and at the Keesler Airman's Club in Biloxi. Stephanie is remembered as a reserved person that was also very opinionated and did not mind telling you. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible, along with arts and crafts. She made jewelry and floral arrangements in her spare time. A loving but "challenging at times" sister and aunt, Stephanie was a sweet and giving person to all she came in contact with. She will no doubt be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her parents, Stephen & Eugenia Samrow, and her brother Daniel Samrow. Left to cherish her memories are: her sister Susan (Tom) Greder of Picayune, with her nieces and nephews, all of who she loved as her own: Shelly and Steve Samrow, Mark Gauthier, and great-nieces Madison Gauthier and Madleyn Parks. With no children of her own, Stephanie had many four-pawed kids over the years. She leaves her latest, "Dusty", a mixed feline son that she loved and cared for as well, along with numerous friends and neighbors through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring, with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Samrow family in their time of need. Please keep the entire family in your thoughts and prayer over the coming days.
