Stella Elaine Vincent, 79, of Carriere, MS., passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by her family on September 3, 2021. She was born December 31, 1941 to Oscar and Mildred (Bryant) Garvan. She grew up in Baskin, LA, the only girl, with two brothers. Stella was a hard worker who loved her family immensely. At waffle house, where Stella worked as a waitress, she was known by her coworkers as "mama". She was loved by everyone she worked with as well as those she served, which was a bunch, because Stella worked a lot. Stella enjoyed going to the casino, where you would always find her playing the slots. If Stella wasn't at the casino, she thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the table playing Pokeno, a card game that she played throughout her kids and grandkids life. Making it a family tradition they will keep as a treasured memory of "meme". Preceding her in death are her parents, Oscar and Mildred (Bryant) Garvan. Stella leaves behind to cherish her memory, two brothers, Joseph (Linda) Baldini of Malad City, Idaho, and Gerald Garvan of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Kathy (William) Howard of Carriere, MS. and Peggy (Jody) Pichon of Slidell, LA; one son Anthony Schwankhart, Jr. of Slidell, LA.; her grand children Tiffany (Neil) Lottmann of Union, MO, Peggy Jo Germain of Perkinston, MS, and Beci (Vic) Spears of Slidell, LA, Ariel (Jaclyn) Pichon-Ciavarella of Loranger, LA., Kayla (Jay) Reed of Carriere, MS.; and her great grans Kristian, Nathan, Sean, Khalil, Parker, Jake, Kaylee, and Ryan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ms. Stella's wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Vincent family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember this family in your prayers in the days to come.
