Starr-Lyght Ann Delancey

Starr-Lyght Ann Delancey, 21, of Yazoo City but originally of Saucier, was tragically lost in a vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Yazoo City. Starr-Lyght was born on February 2, 2001 to Angela and Paul Delancey. She was so full of life and personality. Starr loved spending time with family, friends, and being outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, the beach, taking long walks, camping, or whatever she could do to stay outdoors. Her children were her whole world, they kept her going day to day. To all that knew her, she left this world too soon; but in God’s eyes, it was perfect timing. Starr was always laughing and excited about life, especially the past few months. She spent all her time with her boyfriend Austin and his family. Her family will especially miss staying up at night playing board games and spending quality time with Starr. She would not want us to sit around and cry or be sad but rather us all to be happy and love each other. She was truly loved and will be missed by many. She is proceeded by her grandparents, Alton Delancey, Edith Delancey, Priscilla Spooner, James Spooner Jr.; and one brother Brandon Delancey. She is survived by her children, Alexander and Haelee Delancey; Parents, Angela and Paul Delancey; two brothers, Anthony Garrison and Calvin Delancey; one sister, Paula Delancey; boyfriend, Austin Holman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. As Hebrew 9:27 says, “And it is appointed for men to die once” and that shall bring comfort to the family. Please keep Starr's kids and family in your thoughts and prayers through this trying time.
