Sherry A. Levoy

Sherry Ann Levoy "Nana", age 61, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi passed away on December 7, 2021. Sherry was born on September 28, 1960, to the late Herman and Delorise Tapp. Sherry was born in Biloxi but grew up in Larue, Mississippi where her sisters were her best friends and never left each other's sides. After graduating from Vancleave Highschool, she went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Sherry served her community as a CNA for over 30 years, including time during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her coworkers loved and appreciated her strong-willed and hardworking personality. She was a loving mother, who not only showed up to her children's football games but made sure to bring an air horn along as well. Then along came grandchildren and "Nana" was in love! With fear of leaving her grandchildren behind, she fought hard hoping to beat cancer. Sherry will be missed dearly by all her family, friends, and coworkers. Sherry is preceded by her loving parents, Herman and Delorise Tapp and one brother, Garry Author Tapp. She leaves behind her wonderful set of twins, Joshua (Melanie) Levoy of Ocean Springs, MS and Ashley (Bubba) Diaz of Perkinston, MS; son, Wayne Jr. (Myra) Levoy; sister, Deborah (Billy) Gable; brother, Buster (Melynie) Tapp; and sister, Marie (Bruce) Ladner. Sherry is also survived eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church on Friday December 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with a burial at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
