Shelley Renea (Bolen) Holland

September 17, 1969 — March 8, 2022

Leakesville

Shelley Renea Holland, 52 of Leakesville, passed away unexpectedly March 08, 2022 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born September 17, 1969 in Lucedale, the daughter of Melton and Ruthie Virginia (Brannon) Bolen. Shelley was the baby of six children and grew up in Lucedale where she enjoyed playing with siblings outdoors. She loved to color, read, and watch movies as well. A South MS country family, they were always gardening, riding horses and keeping up with their chores. Shelley graduated from George County High School with the Class of 1987. She was a people-person and worked at Pizza Hut and 4 Mile Truck Stop, before becoming a homemaker and raising her three children. She is fondly remembered as a loving and giving person. Generous to a fault, she loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Board games and cards were always a favorite when others were around, and rumor has it that she was know to "fudge" a little when playing Uno, but all in good fun. When it was just her, Shelley enjoyed both reading and writing. She enjoyed writing actual letters, and often did so. Shelley had a somewhat "censored" sense of humor, and would always be the life of the party. Of course you never knew what she was going to say because her filter was broken, but she loved laughter, and did her best to include everyone around her in it. All around amazing and selfless person, she always made sure to tell you that she loved you..."to the moon and back, until the world goes boom." She will be forever missed by all whose life she touched. Shelley was preceded by her parents, Melton and Ruthie Bolen, and brothers Lavon and Woodie Bolen. Left to carry on the laughter are: her daughters Tiffany Butler of Lucedale, Whitney (Mario) Lopez of Leakesville, and Shelby Hillman, also of Leakesville; her siblings, sisters Pearl Boulware and Janice (Lonnie) Holifield, and her brother Calvin (Trina) Bolen. Shelley leaves a legacy of nine "grandangels" as she liked to call them: Emma Jayde, Molly, Bella, Makaylee, Lora Lee, Braydon, Cheyanne, Laindyn, Xavier, and Arya'rose, and the tenth was her Pomeranian Grandangel, Lexie. She also leaves a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring, and will hold a memorial service and celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of floral arrangements, making a donation to help the family offset final expenses would be greatly appreciated. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Holland family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them all in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
