Scott Charles Marsden

January 15, 1949 — July 3, 2023

Lady Lake, FL

Scott Charles Marsden, known far and wide as Scott, took his final bow on July 3, 2023, after a car accident in Jackson, MS. Born January 15, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia, Scott spent his 74 years laughing, loving, and living life in high spirits. He was a man of many talents, but his ability to make people laugh was second to none. He was as fun and spirited to all that knew him. He had a mind sharper than a tack and quicker than a hiccup, which he put to good use at the University of Maryland. He was so smart, in fact, that he could remember every sports event he ever watched. That's right, folks, Scott had a photographic memory for sporting events. Kind of like Google, but with a sense of humor. He also loved golf as well and driving around in his Washington Commander themed golf cart. In the working world, Scott was a teamster in the beverage industry. Scott was the kind of guy who'd make you laugh so hard, you'd forget you were working. He was the life of the party, the cherry on top, the man who made the day a little brighter and the work a little lighter. Scott's love for sports was legendary. He was a die-hard fan of the Washington Commanders, the Texas Rangers, and the Maryland Terrapins. His loyalty to his teams was as strong as his love for a good joke. He'd cheer them on, win or lose, and always had a funny quip to lighten the mood. "Go Terps!" he'd holler, and we'd all cheer along, whether we knew what a Terp was or not! Scott leaves behind a family who will remember him not for his departure, but for the laughter and joy he brought into their lives. His daughter, Autumn; grandchildren, William, Tristan, Ashton, and the twins, Liam and Laura; his brother, Wayne Marsden, and sister, Leslie Boggs, will carry his legacy of laughter and love forward. To quote the great Robin Williams, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Scott Marsden lived this quote to the fullest. He embraced his spark of madness, and it made him the funny, spirited, and intelligent man we all knew and loved. He taught us that life is too short to be taken seriously and that a good laugh is the best medicine. So, here's to Scott, a man who knew how to find the funny in life. He may not be with us physically, but his spirit, his laughter, and his love for a good joke will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. Scott Charles Marsden, you were one of a kind, and we are all better for having known you. Rest peacefully with your Mom and Dad. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Marsden family and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this trying time.
