Sandra Jane Lewis, age 69, passed away on February 07, 2024 in Gulfport, MS. She was born in Monroe, LA on January 28, 1955 to Herbert and Lillian Swathwood.

Sandra Jane Lewis, beloved by many as a mother figure. With a heart of gold, Sandra was known for her unwavering compassion and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from her passion for fishing to her love for playing bingo and canasta. Her loyal companion, Coco, was a constant source of comfort and joy. Sandra adored her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was a devoted fan of the Saints and LSU Football teams. Her spirit was free and fun-loving, always ready for adventure at a moment's notice. From Mardi Gras celebrations to cookouts, Sandra embraced life with enthusiasm. She had a weakness for king cake and old-school country music, finding solace and joy in their familiar melodies. Sandra will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Sandra is preceded by her husband, Gerald Lewis; parents, Herbert Swathwood Sr., and Lilian Eubanks Swathwood; siblings, Frances Eubanks, Herbert Swathwood Jr., and Edward Swathwood. She is survived by her loving children, Katherine Swinehart, Albert (Renné) Smith, and Donna Duck; partner, Wayne Jarrell; brother, Bill Swathwood; and her sister, Debbie Freeman. Sandra is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
