Gulfport

Sandra Lee Galloway, 71, passed away January 7, 2023 at Memorial Hospital Gulfport. She was born August 28, 1951 in Dunn, NC, the second of six children to parents Robert Leslie and Colleen Ruth (Gannon) Glenn. Sandra grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio area and attended school in that area. Sandra graduated from James Madison High School and worked in restaurants, doing just about every job there was. From server to cook, and even to management, she has done it all in her career. Sandra enjoyed working with people and the favorite part of her career was managing Waffle Houses. She met James in 1989 in Las Vegas, and they were married about a year later. He was working in construction, and they moved around here and there. Working for FEMA in Disaster Recovery brought them to Gulfport following Hurricane Katrina, and they have called it home since. Sandra is remembered as a loving lady who would go above and beyond for anyone. She always did what she thought was best for her family, no matter how difficult it might have been. She worked in restaurants her entire career, until her retirement at 62. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed going to the casinos with James to play slots and video poker. When she couldn't get there, there was always games on her phone that kept her occupied. Together, they also enjoyed going to flea markets and the Thrift Stores, buying and selling things to stay busy. They enjoyed their time together, making the most of every day. Through all of life's ups and downs, Sandra was a loving wife, mother, and trusted friend that will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Glenn and Colleen Pileggi. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband of over thirty years, James, and their only child, Sharon McGinn of West Memphis, AR. She also leaves several extended family, friends, and co-workers through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. Eventually, she will be returned to the family plot in Charlottesville, VA. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Galloway family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
