Samuel Dwayne Chabreck

Samuel Dwayne Chabreck, age 49, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on September 2, 2022. Sam is the son of Velma Chabreck and the late Larry Chabreck. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Julia Chabreck, of whom he was very proud.  He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Michael Chabreck, Sr., Laura Chabreck and Jennifer Chabreck Clapp(Trey), his nephews,  Morene' Rainey, Jr., Jack Rainey, Michael Chabreck, Jr and Luke Chabreck. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. Sam was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and lived in the Lacombe area for many years. He studied at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and was self-employed in construction specializing in vinyl siding. He loved music and playing the guitar and was in the band, Oracle Fire for several years. He loved cooking, reading, riding his bike on the Tammany Trace and being outdoors. He appreciated all things related to nature and truly enjoyed just living the simple life. He considered his only child, Julia his greatest accomplishment in life. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate Sam’s life on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11-3 at Camp Salmen Nature Park, 35122 Parish Parkway, Slidell, Louisiana, 70460.  Private Interment will take place in a family plot at Tranquility Cemetery in Lacombe.
