Sa’Journee Joanna Shelby-Goff

Sa’Journee Joanna Shelby-Goff, a precious angel from Wiggins, returned to her heavenly home Wednesday afternoon, December 6th, 2023. Journee, as she was lovingly known by all, was a joyful young lady who loved her family and friends dearly. She was born June 11, 2018, in Hattiesburg to her momma, Sierra Shelby, and her daddy, Justin Goff. In her brief time with her family and friends, she brought so much joy and happiness to all.  Journee was such a smart baby, who loved to complete puzzles and work in her workbooks!  She loved school and couldn't wait to get home and complete her homework! Journee had the biggest heart and was known to hug everyone whether she knew you or not, you were getting a warm hug. There was not a day that went by that Journee didn't come home talking about her teachers, Mrs. Barham and Mrs. Brittany, and the fun she had playing with her school friends, especially her special friends Winnie Scott and Kenleigh Woodard.  Sa' Journee loved the Christmas season and looked forward to Santa bringing her more puzzles and workbooks for her to master.  She loved PIZZA, all things pink, unicorns, and the special bond she shared with her Memo!!  She was a people person and loved everyone no matter the shade of their skin, a true testimony to us all!  Sa'Journee is preceded in death by her Great-Grandmother and namesake, Joanna Redeemer; and her Great Aunt Gloria Fairley.  Left to cherish the hugs and love she shared, her Mother Sierra Shelby; her Father Justin Goff; one big sister Seanna Shelby; two little brothers, Thaddius Kelly, Jr. and Taylon Shelby; her Grandparents, Pricilla and Edward Shelby, Charlene Goff and Gerald White; her Great-Grandfather Maurice Redeemer; her Great-Grandmother Mamie Shelby; a special Aunt Sylvia Shelby; a special Uncle Tony Fairley; two special cousins, whom she loved playing with, Cassidy Fairley and Myuanna Goff; and one special friend, Thaddius Kelly, Sr. Sa'Journee leaves a legacy of love with her teachers, Mia Barham and Brittany Edens and her whole Kindergarten class at Perkinston Elementary who will all miss her immensely.  Sa'Journee will be interred at The Shelby Family Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a balloon release memorial in Sa'Journee's honor, Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Jerry J. Fairley Soccer Complex.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Shelby-Goff family during this time and would ask that you remember Sierra and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers over the difficult days to come.
