Rudy Allon Davenport, age 74, loving husband and father of three daughters passed away on October 7, 2022 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and throat cancer. Rudy was born to Nolan and Adel Davenport in Jones County on September 27, 1948. Rudy met his wife Diane after returning home to Mississippi after his service in the United States Army. Rudy and Diane were married for 52 years as a loving family with their three daughters Angela, Amanda, and Amy. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Adel Davenport; two brothers, Nolan “Wesley” Davenport and Robert “Shorty” Davenport. Rudy is survived by and left to cherish his memories are his wife, Diane Davenport; daughters, Angela (Shannon) Lee, Amanda (Anthony) Cunningham, and Amy (Heath) McQueen; brothers, Donald “Duke” (Kathleen) Davenport, Glen “Cotton” (Joyce) Davenport, and James “Luch” (Pricilla) Davenport; grandchildren, Briana (Jordan) Byrd Ballman, Makenzie Byrd, Collin (Kennedy) McQueen, Jaron Cunningham, Rylee McQueen, Lainey Cunningham, Racey Lee, Camden Lee, Cree Cunningham, Annslee McQueen, Abram McQueen, and Emmeline Cunningham. Great grandchildren, Addysen, Asher, and Baylor Ballman. Rudy has even more friends and family left to carry on his loving memory. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers during this time.
